"Days of the cigante truffles", which is organized in Livade

Every autumn in Livade a unique event is organized on 10 weekends, the "days of the cigante truffles". It gathers numerous guests from Croatia and all parts of the world, only to try this highest gourmet specialty and other extraordinary aromas of the Istrian delicacies.

This event announced the village of Livade as the center of the Istrian truffle, and the rich program of the "cigante truffle days" includes the truffle fair, an international exhibition of wine and other local Istrian products (such as Istrian ham, sausage, cheese, honey, olive oil, schnapps ...), culinary workshops, demonstrations of the truffle search in the forest and different Tastings in which guests can try culinary specialties from truffles presented by well -known chefs.

Livade and the Motovun forest then turn into a place where you immerse yourself in a fragrant and suggestive atmosphere, walk around and admire the beauty of the area, try out excellent local products and take part in the exciting moment in which you can find a truffle.

The fair for white truffles in Livade is the largest truffle exhibition in Croatia and the region. Freshly harvested truffles are exhibited every weekend and sold to visitors and gourmets.
