New fashion brands opening in Palma

Palma is a cosmopolitan, modern and lively city that we are lucky enough to call our home. With a wide range of cultural, sports, shopping and leisure activities, this city seems to be moving faster day by day. And as BO Hotel is located in the most beautiful part of the city, its old town, we are always the first to know when something new is happening in Palma.

In the past years Palma de Mallorca has drawn the attention of many well-known designers and brands, as it has also been becoming an exciting shopping destination for people all over Europe. And during the past months we have welcomed three new brands which we would love to highlight, as they meet the standards and taste of all of us at BO Hotel.

New brands opening in Palma

Sandro: this brand is part of the French group in charge of Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot, Sandro opened its doors in Palma last October. The first Sandro shop in the island is located on the corner of Jaime III and Paseo del Borne, where Loewe used to stand. With 300 sqm and two floors, this shop has become a must for everyone shopping in Palma’s centre.

Jorge Vázquez:
this Spanish designer has started this year strong. His shop in Palma is the third he opens in Spain, coming after the openings one shop in Madrid and another in A Coruña. Taking over the free space left by Angel Schlesser in Calle Nicolás, the women clothing line has a 100 sqm space right next to some of our favourite shops in Palma, like Essentiel or Patrizia Pepe.

Castañer: for many years Castañer has been a shoe brand known by everybody. This is due to its elegant models, its constant innovation, its quality and the clear understanding this brand has of the modern woman and man.

Even though this brand already had selling points in Palma, recently the shoe brand opened its own store at Calle Unión number 8. Ideal!

Mallorca’s most exclusive marinas

The Island of Mallorca is known all over the world for the wide range of activities you can experience while visiting it. Here in Mallorca you will be able to enjoy a lovely hike in middle of beautiful natural scenery, practice sports like golfing or cycling, shopping in Palma’s old town or enjoying the Majorcan gastronomy in first-class restaurants.

But today we would like to highlight two of the most exclusive and luxurious marinas there are in Mallorca for you to go visit.

We’ll start with Puerto Portals, probably the most famous marina in Mallorca due to the high-level of glamour and over 30 years of history. Located in an exclusive location at the bay of Portals Nous, this marina is located 10 kilometres away from Palma’s city centre. When it comes down to nautical services, it has 679 moorings from 8 to 60 meters in length, a nautical school, supermarket, gas station and all necessary nautical services for yachts and boats.

But Puerto Portals is also famous for its chic stores, excellent restaurants with all kind of gastronomic treats and for its sophisticated night life. This marina remains open the whole year and is also very famous for its first-class events, such as the Classic Oris Rally, the Sunset Market and the lovely Christmas market.

At BO Hotel we recommend for you to visit Puerto Portals, one of the most famous and important marinas of the Mediterranean and once you’re there, enjoy a lovely meal at the Ritzi Puerto Portals where you’ll find Italian-Mediterranean fusion cuisine, incredible sea views and a professional service.

On the other hand, we would like to highlight the luxurious Port Adriano, a contemporary design and art work by the architect Philippe Stark. It is located in Mallorca’s Southeast, in the municipality of El Toro. It has 492 moorings, many nautical Service offices, nautical school, offers sailing school, diving lessons and even an artificial beach.

But this marina has built up a name in the international scene by the luxurious Experience surrounding the moorings on the 4.000 sqm of leisure complex. With 52 luxury shops, high-class restaurants, sophisticated bars and an underground parking of 240 places, Port Adriano has become another ‘it place’ on the Island.

When visiting Port Adriano, we would like to recommend for you to visit some of the special and cool events taking place all over the year at this marina: gastronomic fairs such as ‘Food Passion’, Christmas ice rink, concerts, etc. You can check out the program by visiting their web.
